Facial LED LIGHT Therapy Beauty Mask

After about 3 months of use, twice a day every day for 20min each time, my skin was clear! I had extremely bad cystic acne. I couldn’t even touch my face without it hurting. This mask cleared everything up, I don’t wear makeup most days now. I purchased this about a year ago and still use it once a day for 30 min every day because I produce a lot of sebum and the blue light helps keep it under control so that I don’t break out again. You have to be very diligent and use it every day though. Don’t skip days if you are trying to get rid of acne. I love it! It has changed my life! Not to mention the company has been a breeze to work with when it comes to warranty issues!

This particular mask had great reviews and was cost-effective. I ordered the LED mask 3 days before the first picture was taken. I received the mask in 3 days, took pictures of my face the day it arrived, washed my face and began this new journey. Of course, I was super eager so I used it every day for the first 5 days. I did 20 minutes on blue and then 20 minutes on red. As you can see from the picture, I had an active acne outbreak (raised above the skin) but I also had to be scare. I wanted to hit the active acne and the scaring at the same time. 40 minutes was a small sacrifice. Although there is a strap for the mask that works great, I forced myself to lay down and relax while I wore the mask for the first few weeks. I took weekly pictures/videos to track my progress.

The mask IS a size fits... everybody has different shape heads, noses, mouths, etc... I remind people of that because several of the reviews I read prior to purchasing the mask complained of it either not exactly fitting their face OR the mask being heavy. I guess the weight is relative... I don’t think it’s heavy at all but I also heard beauty is pain.... (humour).

I believe the science behind this is indisputable. However, I know there are different kinds of acne so I can’t say it would work for everybody. My acne is GONE. I am working on the scaring (post hyperpigmentation) which is common for people with darker complexions. I am now doing pro-active blue sessions of 15-20 minutes a few times a week (sitting up watching tv with the mask on). I figure I’m just sitting there anyway! I have also received lots of compliments on how “radiant” or “luminous” my skin looks. I’m to the point where I don’t have to wear make-up to cover the acne or scaring... YAH!

I have recommended the LED mask to several family and friends... they have purchased them as well and are seeing early results as well.

I have been using this mask for 3 weeks. I was originally using blue light due to my acne. After a week, I started noticing my acne going away. So I started using the red and purple light. Here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
- It seems to work especially with my acne. My face becomes smoother and soft too.
- multiple lights so you can use whatever light you think best fits you for certain days
- I can use it even though I am not near to an outlet. The Remote needs to be charged first if you do not want to be tethered to the wall with it.
- battery seems to last for an average of 1.5 - 2 hours (so like 3 to 8 uses)
- packaging is good. I kept the box and it helped kept the mask secure
- comes with neck piece
- Mask seems durable
- it comes with a decent size (15ml) hyaluronic acid serum

Cons:
- Pricey
- You cannot detach the neckpiece from a face mask
It- A little bit heavy but I got used to it
- Even though it comes with like an ear handle to hold the face mask when you are upright, it still falls off my face and is uncomfortable to have on while walking around the house. Best to use it lying down.
- leaves some marks on the nose bridge. To avoid this, I just simply put round cotton used for make-up remover on the mask(nose bridge part).
